Intelligent Lighting For Your Home

Integrated lighting controls such as Crestron based system provides the ultimate in control and flexibility. Each lighting channel in your home can be controlled and monitored by expansive array of keypads, touch panels and sensors. As well as an infinite number of lighting scene selections for each room, a Crestron lighting system can provide many smart features for your home.

Have you ever left a light on when leaving your house? Well, with a Crestron system you can press a single button by your front door to switch all your lights off. How about that middle of the night trip to the bathroom when your fumbling around in the dark? Again, with a single button press you can have an illuminated pathway through your home to the bathroom, where the light is already switched on. With the use of integrated motion detectors you don't even have to press a button, the control system can sense when someone enters the room and switch on the lights. Many lighting keypads now feature built in light sensors which provide real time feedback on lighting levels in a room. This is a great feature to automatically turn on and adjust the light levels in a room if it's getting dark, as well as closing curtains and blinds automatically.

Integrated lighting can also be a useful security feature, many people use light timers to give the appearance that there home is occupied. However, timers can often be predictable, switching on and off at the same time each day. With a lighting control system the lighting activity from the previous two weeks can be replicated at the touch of a button, providing a much more realistic simulation of occupancy. With a Crestron system it's possible to access your home lighting from virtually any web-enabled device anywhere in the world. This allows you to see what lights are currently being used and gives you remote control over them, very useful if you're caught unexpectedly away from home.

If you're thinking of installing any automation into your home or business it's worth considering an integrated lighting system. They are probably the best use of money in terms of features and usability for your automation project.
